Tom

Tom met Ian through a good friend at university. Having always had an interest in self-sufficiency, while engaged in research for his PhD in the Department of Social and Developmental Psychology at the University of Cambridge he acquired an allotment at the bottom of his road.

He enjoyed this thoroughly. 

When asked if he would be interested in joining Ian on the farm he was told to think of it as a large allotment.  He leapt at the chance. 

Tom is 28 years old, surveys the land regularly and still finds the change to his lifestyle to be occasionally un-nerving but always hugely rewarding.
